In 2003 the first Schafhof-Festival was celebrated by more than 25.000 people at the Schafhof in Kronberg. The foundation of the German Grand Prix team rider and gold medallist Ann-Kathrin Linsenhoff organized the Festival for the 50th anniversairy of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The Festival offered activities in sports, art and culture for the whole family and established to be a prestigious charity event in Germany.  

In September 2010 the motto of the festival will be again: “watch, participate, enjoy and help”. For the fifth time Ann-Kathrin Linsenhoff  will invite people of all walks of life to a beautiful setting to celebrate, to play and to raise money for children in need.

In addition to the main stage with different performances of musicians, regional sport clubs and school classes, the festival offers a variety of activities and attraction around the Schafhof and the Schafhof-Piazza with culinary highlights from different countries.
