ANNA NETREBKO - Ocean Of Love
for TUI Cruises
A significant voice for a significant ship – Anna Netrebko, one of the greatest opera singers of our time, recorded the anthem “Ocean of Love” for the MS “Mein Schiff”. Espacially composed for TUI Cruises, the anthem is the first non classical composition for the Russian soprano.
Born in Krasnoda and living in Vienna, Anna Netrebko conquered the leading opera houses all around the world with characters from La Bohème, La Traviata or Don Giovanni. Now she enriches “Ocean of Love” with her distinctive voice and Russian soul. The 37-year-old singer, who so far focused on classical compositions from past eras, said “it is a true joy and challenge to sing this anthem because it combines elements from classical music and modern pop so well”.
Composed by Frank Nimsgern, “Ocean of Love” was recorded at the world renowned Angel Record Studios under the direction of Peter Christian Feigel. Enclosed to the album “souvenirs” and presented as a Special Edition at the night of the christening, the CD was the first release of an existing album as special edition.
The cooperation of Anna Netrebko and TUI Cruises was developed by the Welldone Agency and coordinated in close cooperation with TUI Cruises and UMCMP.
