The German rock legend Peter Maffay, who’s been performing on stage for nearly four decades has been on tour for several months through 54 sold out concert halls and opera houses. The Peter Maffay tour was presented by DeutschlandCard, a loyalty program including several German retailers and pharmacies which was launched in spring 2008.

The sponsoring package with DeutschlandCard contained a comprehensive presence of the company, several sweepstakes, meet&greets with Peter Maffay and other great experiences for clients and partners of DeutschlandCard such as the possibility to win a visit to an exclusive soundcheck, a memorable moment for every rock ‘n roll fan.

A significant part of the cooperation was the support for the Peter Maffay Foundation, which has taken on the task of providing children who have been traumatized by violence. Within several charity activities card holders of DeutschlandCard were able to donate their collected points to the foundation and help children with social problems.

The Welldone Agency evolved the cooperation along with Peter Maffay and adapted the individual wishes of the artist and DeutschlandCard.

The cooperation with Peter Maffay is the first sponsorship of this type for DeutschlandCard and was a successful experience for both parties.
