German television pays tribute to Peter Maffay
On July 14th at 09.45 pm the German television channel ARD honours Peter Maffay with an exclusive portrait!
The exceptional artist Peter Maffay will now be honoured with a portrait by the German television channel ARD. On Wednesday, July 14th, the ARD will broadcast the documentation “Deutschland, Deine Künstler” (transl. “Germany, Your Artists”) with German rock legend Peter Maffay.
Director and producer Vanessa Nöcker accompanied the musician Peter Maffay for one and a half years, among others to a meeting with Simon Perres in Tel Aviv, which resulted within the social and political engagement of Peter Maffay. Vanessa Nöcker met the musician at his concerts in his adoptive home Mallorca and in his studio at the Starnberger Lake in Bavaria.
Numerous friends and colleagues like Nena and Udo Lindenberg contributed their part to this documentation in order to create an emotional as well as entertaining portrait of this caring person and musician Peter Maffay.
After 40 years of rock n’ roll there is still no end in sight. The tickets for his concert tour in 2010/2011 are more than highly coveted, numerous concerts are already sold out and those who want to experience Peter Maffay live in concert, will need to hurry.
