„Goldene Kamera“ for David Garrett
award in the category „best international music act“
The violinist David Garrett will receive the award for “best international music act” at the 45th “Goldene Kamera” on January 30th, 2010. The award show of the German magazine HÖRZU will be hosted by the German Entertainer Hape Kerkeling.
David Garrett is considered one of the most successful classic artists of the world and therefore fills the most prestigious international concert halls.
The star-violinist began to play the violin at the age of 4 and at the age of 17 he perfects his virtuoso play at the master class of Itzhak Perlman in New York.
The jury of HÖRZU explains his honoring: “David Garrett successfully made his way from America and Asia to Europe and especially Germany. With his unconventional and refreshing style David truly succeeds by giving younger people an understanding of classical music.”
